READING AND RHYTHM PRACTICE APPLIED ON PERCUSSION

This rhythm course allows the student of any musical instrument to possess the theoretical knowledge and the practice of necessary rhythmic phrasings, in order to develop the ability to read music, as well as to acquire a bigger precision in playing rhythmic cells. The exclusive use of percussion instruments encourages the student to the practice of the rhythm only, without the melodic or harmonic aspects of the musical practice.

MASTERCLASSES

Renato Martins does masterclasses and workshops on Brazilian percussion instruments and rhythms. He also demonstrates his creative percussion presenting the results from his research of new techniques and new approaches to traditional percussion instruments, as well as the use of everyday objects as percussion instruments.
